The newer laptop

Back in May, my dad bought me a new laptop. I didn’t post about it back then because I was really busy during the month of May (i.e. finals and stuff). The laptop was gateway and it was red. It had a 15 inch screen, 4 gb ram and 285 gb hard disk. It was awesome and I loved it. Unfortunately, I no longer have it. Last Saturday we had a thunderstorm, and was online via dial-up (the only type of internet available were I live) during the storm (Stupidly….). Near the end of the storm I lost my internet connection. I was really wasn’t worried about losing the connection, until I tried to reconnect and wasn’t able too. So I thought to myself, “Well, I will try again in the morning, and if doesn’t connect then I will tell my mom and we can to go to Best Buy (the store where we bought the laptop) to get it checked out.”
Well I tried to connect Sunday and wasn’t able too, so I broke down and told my mother what happened. She agreed to go to Best Buy to get the laptop checked out that morning. When we got there they tested to the modem and discovered it had gone bad (probably hit by lighting the night before). The lady who was helping us with the computer contacted Gateway to see if the accidental damage to the computer was covered by the warranty. It was, but Gateway had discontinued my laptop and all the parts to fix it!!!!! Fortunately, Gateway covered the cost for me to get a new laptop since my laptop because it was less than a year old and still covered under the warranty.
My newer laptop is a 14 inch Hp with same features that my Gateway had. I wanted a new Gateway, but all the Gateway laptops Best Buy had were no where near as good as the one I had, so I had to settle for a Hp instead. I like the newer laptop but, I like my Gateway better, and really think my Gateway was a better computer.
The ironic ( well, its sort-of ironic) part of this story is that I just installed Paint Shop Pro and my Ftp program on the Gateway, just a few hours before the modem went bad. I had to install the programs again, a day later on my Hp laptop.

First, is my new purse. 
On our second day at the beach, it rain so we decided to go shopping in a big city about an hour’s drive away from where we were staying at. At the mall we went into this store called Swoozies, because we don’t have one where we live and we wanted to find out want they sold. Come to find out they sold party stuff, monogram stuff, picture frames, purses, etc. I found this purse hanging up and just had to have it. I really like the colors of it and fact that the strap on it big where I can hang it over my neck.
Second is my Wii. Thursday morning my nephew and I were talking about how nice it would be own wii, and then we started talking about how we could come up with enough money to buy one (selling my xbox, the 15 or so xbox games, old gameboy advance games, old Nintendo DS games, etc.) and my mom walks in say that she will by the wii for us if we pay her back by having a yard sale. We agree and we start calling places to see if they have any Wiis and we call the walmart in town and they have 3 left. When I got there 45 minutes later they had already sold one, and there was a guy there buying one, so I got the last Wii in town. Then I went on the hunt for the game WiiFit, and I couldn’t find one, and since it was the only game my mom was going to let me buy, I went home. So right now the only game we have is Wii Sports (it came with the Wii), which I like. I’m better at video game sports than I’m at real sports.
